RepresentativesoftheRomanCuriaandtheGermanbishops’conferencemetonWednesdaytocontinuediscussionsontheproposedstatuteofa“synodalconference”fortheChurchinGermany,markingthefourthsuchdialoguesincetalksbeganin2022.
Themeeting,heldinRomeonNov.12,tookplaceinwhatajointpressstatementdescribedasan“honest,open,andconstructiveatmosphere,”withbothsidesdiscussingvariousaspectsoftheplannedsynodalbody’scharacter,composition,andcompetencies.
