MackinlaywillbeinstalledatSt.Stephen’sCathedralonSept.11,takingpastoralresponsibilityforAustralia’ssecond-largestdiocese,whichincludesover684,000Catholicsacross94parishesinsoutheasternQueensland.
DuringhisfirstvisittoBrisbanefollowingtheannouncement,Mackinlayemphasizedtheimportanceofmissionaryclarityinasocietyincreasinglyindifferenttoreligiousbelief.
