There are perhaps 36 nails in various Churches with claims to be the real deal. Obviously, they can’t all be, but it’s possible that they’re not all blatant frauds either. There is a middle ground. There is also the question of whether Helena did, in fact, recover the genuine nails in the Holy Land, or whether helpful locals simply passed off some old nails as the genuine article…
