PopeFrancis’healthconditionhasremainedstableashecontinuesastayinthehospital,thoughrecentbloodworkshoweda“slightimprovement,”theVaticansaidonWednesdayafternoon.
AccordingtotheFeb.19communication,medicalstafffoundthepope’sbloodteststoshowlessinflammatorymarkers.Theysaidhisclinicalconditionis“stationary.”

TheVaticansaidonWednesdaythatPopeFrancishadbreakfast,readafewnewspapers,anddidsomeworkwiththehelpofhissecretaries.Beforelunch,thepontiffreceivedtheEucharist,andintheafternoonhewasvisitedbyItalianPresidentGiorgiaMelonifor20minutes.
